In social pedagogy social environment is considered primarily from the point of view of the integration process of child, into whole society through the nearest social environment.
From this perspective, it becomes important that relationship between man and external social conditions of his life in society have the character of interaction. Environmentis not just streets, houses and things, location of which is sufficient to know for person that went into it to feel comfortable there.Environment is also a very different community of people who are characterized by special system of relations and rules that are equal for all members of this community. Therefore, on the one hand, person makes it different, to some extent affects it, modifies it, but at the same time, the environment affects the person gives him its requirements. It can accept person with all his acts manifestations, and may reject; It can treat him kindly, and, perhaps, hostile.
Children, brought up in an atmosphere of goodwill and support have many advantages – they have more opportunities to develop their activities, they are more likely to be creative, original, friendly, find more emotions in relationships ,than their peers , living in conditions of excessive rigor, deficit warmth and affection.
Family structure and the nature of family relations greatly influence on the child’s health and development of his personality characteristics. The harmonious development of personality often prevent prolonged conflicts in the family, divorce of parents, growing up “only” child, and etc. In such families children often suffer from neurosis, study worse, fall behind physical development, often suffer from a variety of medical conditions.
Huge impact on human development, especially in childhood, has home environment. The family usually takes the first, crucial steps in development of person. Child is usually a fairly accurate reflection of the family, in which he grows and develops. Family largely determines the range of interests needs and views and also provides conditions, including material, for development of natural talents. The moral and social personal qualities are also laid in the family.
Next important role that the child develops in the course of its development is membership in team. In kindergarten and school, in sports clubs and children’s organizations, child acquires the role of a team member, a friend, a student leader, and many others to communicate with their peers.
Important social role is to be a citizen of their country, love their country, be proud of it, be a patriot of his homeland. There may be other social roles that child develops, for example, the role of professional which the student can get in school, lyceum, gymnasium, or in educational institutions of primary vocational education. There are other positive social roles that child can learn in the process of growing up.
Micro-social environment is undoubtedly has huge impact on human development. Namely microenvironment closely links the child with the outside of his big world, Macromedia. Selection of the nearest environment is largely determined by the individual age characteristics of the child, importance of adults and comrades attitude to him, the way of educations child’s personal qualities depend people, who are included in the microenvironment of the child, the content of their communication with the child, the nature of their relationship
The other issue is that the impact of education on child development is dynamically changing over time. Over time, as the child grows, its share decreases, but increases the degree of the child’s independence in the choice and preference of those or other social values and objectives, its own influence on his development. This can be represented as two connected vertices of the pyramids. The basis of the pyramid is the first educational influence on child from his birth. Gradually, this effect dilutes, however, another process gets stronger self-education, more active to improve child’s personality, self-development and self-realization, self-promotion conscious self-activity of the child into society. It is undeniable, that demand for self-education is the highest form of person development, which is identified by leading personal characteristics and provides him position in society. According to our model, person will tend to the bottom of the second pyramid, which he can hardly reach because the self-process lasts almost forever.
As a result of education, self-education and the positive impact of other social factors (cultural, historical and religious traditions, the media, children’s organizations, school staff, friends, and others.) natural process of integration of the child into society happens.
Overallthe efforts of educators and professionals should focus on the social adaptation of a child who is in a difficult situation, on its active adaptation to the socially accepted rules, norms and behavior, or on overcoming the consequences of the negative factors. If the degree of loss or formation of important social qualities is so high that it interferes with the child’s successful adaptation in the social environment conditions, in this case social rehabilitation of the child is necessary. It should involve usage of special system of measures aimed to restore the lost child’s social connections and relations, his social status, providing social adaptation in society.
